BlackStar’s Membership Tiers
All member tiers receive an exclusive subscription to our bimonthly membership newsletter, a discount on merchandise, special invites to members-only BlackStar events and early access to discounted BlackStar Film Festival passes. By becoming a member, you provide our organization with the necessary funding to sustain our year-round programmatic work, uplift the work of artists of the global majority, and challenge mainstream narratives of erasure.
Membership can be paid through a one-time gift or recurring monthly gift at any of the following levels: Filmmaker, Film Enthusiast, and Film Scholar. Supporters at $1k or above are eligible to join our Luminary Giving Circle.

Membership Terms and Conditions
Membership terms span 12 months from the initial date of donation. For example, a gift made on July 9, 2025 would expire the following year on that same date. Once a qualifying gift is made, our Development team will reach out within 3-5 business days to discuss your benefits.
Benefits may be subject to change, members will be notified in advance. Membership is considered a tax-deductible gift and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Benefit eligibility is dependent on the launch date of each respective BlackStar program. Certain programmatic-related benefits will not be fulfilled, if the program has occurred prior to membership enrollment.
