Writer and director Nijla Mu’min stages a table reading of her short film script, NOOR, and shows a private screening of the recently filmed version of the script. Participants will engage with how a script evolves, changes, and translates to the screen. NOOR centers on a Black woman grieving her brother’s murder outside of a Brooklyn bodega who develops an unexpected physical connection to the Arab man who works there.
